In order to protect yourself I encourage people living in areas where gas development is proposed to start by purchasing an extensive well water test. This can provide evidence that these items are not in your water prior to contamination by gas drilling operations.

A new study suggests that oral contraceptives contribute to prostate cancer. Birth control pills contain the female hormone estrogen, and in recent years, some experts have raised concerns about the presence of estrogen and similar compounds in foods and the water supply.

Do remineralizing filters really work?
Many companies suggest that because reverse osmosis systems remove the minerals from water that you should add a remineralizing filter afterwards for the purpose of restoring minerals to your water.
